In this video, Berklee Online instructor Prince Charles Alexander and Berklee alumnus Brian Walker continue to produce Walker’s song “Call Me,” along with engineer Samantha Stallings. They begin by preparing multiple vocal tracks in Pro Tools. They use a compressor to add attenuation for load, belting vocals, find the “sweet spots” for the EQ, and add a little reverb. After the tracks are ready, they perform a headphone-level check to make sure Brian can hear himself before they start recording scratch tracks.
