Icicle – Interview with Minimalist DnB Producer Icicle
Loopmasters
http://www.looptv.net/ present this interview with London based minimalist DnB producer ‘Icicle’ (http://bit.ly/TwkSIv).
Jeroen Snik – aka Icicle – is recognised as one of the most technically advanced and highly-respected producers in electronic music. Mastering minimal Tech-Funk infused DnB better than any other.
Icicle’s music is graceful yet daring and, without doubt, technically remarkable, tinged with intricate drum patterns reminiscent of Photek and entrancing, enveloping bass-lines à la Jonny L and Optical.
Icicle recently teamed up with fellow Showgun label producer – Brighton raised, award winning DJ Friction, for their highly acclaimed sample pack ‘Shoguns Drum and Bass Vol 1’ (http://bit.ly/TwkSIv)
With a new album in the making and a brand new Loopmasters Reason based PatchWorx title due out this fall we thought it high time to catch up and find out about his production setup, favourite studio gear and his latest news!
Enjoy!
