In this Ableton Live Production Basics video tutorial, Joshua Casper will show you how to get auto-ducking on your delay return tracks.
Auto-ducking is when the delay feedback – or reverb – is pushed back in the mix via a sidechained compressor or dynamic EQ, allowing the vocal – or anything – to be clear and stand out better in the mix.
In this video, you will learn about Send & Return tracks in Ableton Live, the Simple Delay device, the Auto Fitler device and it’s LFO, and general vocal processing and vocal mixing.
This is an essential technique for mixing and mastering in Ableton Live.
