Reveal Sound’s current AudiobyRay catalogue connects the Spire software synthesizer with preset banks, mixed preset-and-audio Full Packs, bundles and WAV sample products. Those categories should not be treated as interchangeable downloads. Spire is the instrument; a soundbank requires a compatible Spire or ReSpire installation; a construction-kit package may add MIDI and rendered WAV files; a pure sample pack can work in a suitable DAW or sampler without Spire.

Spire as the central instrument

Spire is the software instrument at the centre of Reveal Sound’s preset catalogue. Its documented architecture includes four oscillators, up to nine unison voices per oscillator, two filters, modulation and an effects section. Current compatibility and formats belong to the software page and official manual, not to the headline of a soundbank.

For production, begin with the source role: bass, lead, chord, pad, sequence or texture. Audition a patch inside the actual kick, bass and harmonic context before adding layers. Into The Deep for focused house-oriented sound design

The Into The Deep series offers a useful example of why individual pages matter. Into The Deep Vol.1 is a focused bank of 72 Spire/ReSpire presets positioned for Deep House, Tech House and Garage production. Its confirmed listing does not turn it into a construction-kit product.

Into The Deep Vol.2 has a different offer structure: 90 presets, an eight-construction-kit option and a Full Pack that combines the material with MIDI and 24-bit/44.1-kHz WAV files. Producers should compare Presets and Full Pack by intended workflow, not assume that every volume contains the same asset types.

EDM Essentials volumes are separate products

Vol.3 separates a 128-preset offer from 200 WAV one-shots and drum loops, with a Full Pack combining both. Those differences shape the session. A preset-only bank belongs in a controller and arrangement audition. One-shots and loops need sampler organisation, transient checks and source tracking. Construction kits are most useful as analysis material: identify arrangement relationships, replace musical content and preserve the original files for provenance rather than using a demonstration unchanged.

Trance, Synthwave and 90s Dance catalogues

Reveal Sound also connects current Trance Essentials, Synthwave and 90s Dance products. Their genre labels are useful for narrowing a first audition, but they do not prove that a named artist used or endorsed a product. Patch counts, Full Pack assets and creator details are only stated when the exact imported child and official source agree.

Reveal Sound Trance Essentials Vol.1 is a verified example: 100 Spire/ReSpire presets, most with ModWheel transformation, and a Full Pack adding eight construction kits, MIDI and 24-bit/44.1-kHz WAV. A similarly named third-party product advertises a different count, so AudiobyRay keeps the SKUs separate rather than merging facts from a shared title.

Evaluate the 6-In-1 bundle by ownership overlap

The Reveal Sound 6-In-1 EDM Bundle contains six source-verified members: Into The Deep Vol.1, an older 110-preset bundle SKU of EDM Essentials Vol.1, EDM Essentials Vol.2, the Full Packs of EDM Essentials Vol.3 and Vol.4, and the Full Pack of Trance Essentials Vol.1.

Before buying, build an ownership matrix. Mark each member as owned, wanted, uncertain or duplicate, then note the unique role it adds: presets, expressive controller patches, one-shots and loops, or construction-kit MIDI/WAV study material. Bundle size is not automatically value when licences overlap or when the studio will use only one content type.

WAV sample packs require a different workflow

The Total Drum & Complex Fills branch is sample content, not a Spire expansion. Vol.1 is officially described as more than 830 MB of 24-bit/44.1-kHz WAV material with multiple variants that can be combined into custom fills. A compatible DAW or sampler is the relevant requirement.

Preserve the original source library, create project copies and tag fills by function, length and intensity. Combine only layers that add distinct body, attack, movement or tail. Check the final transient against the next kick and keep source filenames or notes in the session. Later volumes and 2-In-1 offers retain their own imported facts; numbering alone does not establish equal size or shared contents.

A practical Reveal Sound audition session

Create a short project with kick, bass, chord layer, lead, transition and a spare sampler track. For a preset product, test low, middle and high registers, reduce internal effects when the mix already has shared sends, and record controller states at matched level. For WAV material, inspect start points, tails, tempo response and transient overlap.

Limit the first pass to one product per role. Render a short comparison, note what changed the arrangement and reject assets that only duplicate an existing tool. A focused bank can be more useful than a large bundle when it solves the brief faster. Conversely, a mixed Full Pack earns its place when MIDI, audio and presets each enter a documented workflow.

Requirements, recall and collaboration

Spire and ReSpire preset banks require the compatible, separately licensed synthesizer. MIDI and WAV assets require a suitable DAW or sampler. Confirm the current child listing, official product page and host compatibility before installation because software versions, formats and commercial options can change.

Archive original downloads, record software versions and save edited presets with the project. Print dry and processed stems for important parts. Collaborators who do not own a commercial bank should receive authorised project audio rather than the source archive. For sample and construction-kit material, retain filenames, purchase records and the current licence documentation.

Rights and responsible production use

Where Reveal Sound’s official product source states that presets, WAV samples or loops are royalty-free for commercial releases, preserve that source wording with the purchase. Royalty-free material is not the same as public-domain content, and a supplied demo composition does not automatically become an original work by the purchaser.

Rewrite musical parts when authorship matters, transform source material in service of the project and avoid redistributing raw files. Genre context is a workflow aid, not artist evidence. AudiobyRay deliberately leaves unsupported artist-use and endorsement claims out of Reveal Sound pages.
